My husband has been a Dodger fan since he was a child and has passed on that love for the team to our son. Since he was an infant, he had a bat and ball in his hands, and as soon as he was verbal, he knew how to say, “Let’s go Dodgers!” 🙂
He attended his first opening day game when he was less than 4 months old -I have to admit, that was incredibly cute! We have made it somewhat of a family tradition to attend opening day and quite a few other games during the season. Jayden loves attending the games and getting his Dodger dog. He also anticipates “his song” or “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” for the rest of you 🙂 It is so cute watching him sing along and cheer for his favorite players – Pederson, Ethier, Kershaw, Ellis, and Greinke.
I am so impressed by him! He can tell the different players apart, and is such a cutie doing the opening line up with his daddy! We get lot’s of smiles from other fans that watch him and see how into it he is. Starting him young 🙂 He definitely already knows more than his mommy – I need to do some homework and catch up!
I cannot wait until he is old enough to join a local team and show what he can do. He is hitting the ball across the street as it is when daddy pitches it to him and loves to run around the bases. He even likes to slide into the base. He will have such a great time! And we have such a supportive family, that he will always have a good sized cheering squad at his games.
I’m sure we will continue to try keeping the baseball game tradition as long as we can so that we can keep seeing the joy in his face and spend some good quality time together.
